SilverSky - A backstairs bastard child of Led Zepplin, U2 and Feeder...

SilverSky are a 4 piece Indie Rock Band who hail from South East London who draw on many musical styles and influences and fuse them in a way that only they can.
Praise has come from far and wide with a fanbase that now stretches through Europe, Australia and the U.S.
They continue to deliver killer performances earning rave reviews from all over the globe proving that they are a band not to be missed.
Why this name?
It was an organic kind of thing with each of us coming up with some suggestions until we reached one that struck a chord with all of us.
Do you play live?
We play live all the time with gigs up and down the UK. We do make a point of putting on a least one big showcase gig a month which usually takes place in the London area.
We all love doing the shows as 9 times out of ten something always happens that was not planned for in the rehearsal room. That just heightens the experience and makes us play harder and with more emotion.
Special moments have to include playing The Shepherds Bush Empire in London to 1500 people and going on tour to France and Ireland. The French are just mad for music and are not afraid to jump around and make noise. This just gives us more energy to feed off and makes the shows that little bit special.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has really opened up doors for us as a group, not only does it allow us to promote our own music and reach an audience which is world wide, it gives us the tools to reach out and hear and find other great bands and musicians to listen to.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it was the right kind of deal and we were sure that it would allow us to move to the next level then yeah.
Your influences?
Our influences are pretty varied which has been great in shaping our own style. Influences include:
Led Zepplin
Coldplay
Oasis
ACDC
Counting Crows
Maroon 5
Guns and Roses
