I can't really attach a genre to our music. We mostly play upbeat catchy guitar tunes like Sundrenched (one of ours)
MoonCow have actually split now but I'm still writing with the original MoonCow bass player and we have Porl Henty on board now on guitar and backing vox (hear on "Two to three")
Enjoy!
Somebody make us famous godammit! Oh and please e-mail me and tell me what you think!

Why this name?
Ryan, the rythme guitarist dreamed it up whilst playing an ancient arcade game (he's wierd!)
Do you play live?
Yeah, not much yet. We are mainly doing acoustic sets. You can catch us in the Plough in Ormskirk, Lancashire on any Thursday. And if you can make it....we'll be playing at The Royal Oak in Aughton, Lancs on the 21st November 2001 so please come down, it's normally a great atmosphere!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Totally, those who don't use the internet are missing out in a big way. It is the future of the attainment of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm not gonna lie, if it means a lot of money...it means we can carry on playin and quit our jobs/college/uni! Of course we would!?
Band History:
Originally formed in 1999 by college class mates, Nick Swift (drums) and Ryan McMurray (guitar) in their ICT class. The pair never really started to play together until they were introduced to Tim Hodge (vocals + guitar) by Nick's (then) girlfriends brother, Jimmy at Chingle Hall in 2000. Tim played some of his songs to Ryan & Nick and the trio decided they would form a band.
By 2001 Ryan, Nick and Tim had decided to start practicing at Tim's flat in Ormskirk under the name MoonCow, thought up by Ryan (ME) whilst playing a video game.
The flat was shared with Jimmy Parker (bass) [Nick's (then) girlfriends brother] who initially wasn't confident enough to form a band with Tim. But after he saw MoonCow practicing he wanted to be involved.
Jimmy borrowed a bass from one of Ryan's mates and the band went to work on some acoustic songs Tim had written.
After 3 months of practicing, Nick decided to ask his brother to one of the practices at the flat.
Chris Swift (Guitar) joined that night and MoonCow were a five piece leaving Tim to concentrate on vocals............
