The band is; Chris, Andy & Grant. We are a punk rock lot from Carlisle in the North of England. If you don't know where it is, we don't blame you. In fact the government is still unsure of whether we're Scottish or English. Anyway, if you want to find us, follow the trail of burning pyres of sheep and it'll lead you straight to us. We'd give you a brief history, but we remembered how bored we were reading our mates, so we've decided to spare you the agony. I could have killed to have an enema at that point, it would have been more exciting. What we will say is that we were originally called "Drive on the Right", but everyone thought we were gay, we changed to "Big Tazz", which was only even remotely funny if you know our Computing prof, so we changed (again) to "My Hidden Tribe". And the fun began!
Why this name?
Inspired by a newspaper headline, which read "Britain's Hidden Culture". It's the face that people, society and governments etc. try to suppress and hide when trying to promote themselves, sell themselves. The characteristics that don't live up to other peoples standards.
Do you play live?
We have only had once gig to date (which went well), but now we have our own material we hope to get more gigs in the future.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives bands/artists like us the chance to be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah! Bring it on!
