I began 'Newtown Rain' the night of the tragedy.
'Newtown Rain' was written in the spirit of sharing and universal
remembrance. It is my greatest hope that our Mothers & Fathers on the Hill
will do what is right and honor those we've lost..
My work is more like poetry in motion,in the folk tradition and perhaps "Folk Rock" My form is raw. I'm not into big production numbers.I will on occassion rely on electronic hoodoo, but only if, in some way, I hear it in the song. I always follow the song. But I like raw. Keep It real.
Why this name?
It's my name.
Do you play live?
I'm more of a songwriter rather than a live performer. Although, I've never said no when asked.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We, as independent artists, have the opportunity to get our work out to the whole world. We, as listeners can now hear it all.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes,of course. Although, at this stage, I am more interested in others performing my work. A publishing contract is for me.
