John Watilo is a songwriter and producer based the Dallas / Fort Worth area. He's not so much a band, really, but just a guy who writes and records songs, and plays an occasional gig. Why am I referring to myself in third person, anyway?
Why this name?
Simple. It's on my birth certificate.
Do you play live?
It's kind of hard to play dead, isn't it? Okay, seriously, I've been in and out of rock and country bands for years. Played various honky-tonks and such. Hard to do that with a day job, so I don't do that so much anymore. Most of my live playing happens these days in church-type settings.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, I would consider it! As long as it doesn't involve selling my soul. But, then, I guess that leaves the majors out, doesn't it?
