We are Kinaxis, a combined effort of Canada and the United States! 2 lifelong friends that distance nor time could not separate!
Why this name?
How does anyone choose a name? Kinaxis just sounds cool!
Do you play live?
Not anymore. Maybe again someday!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It brings the global music community closer than ever. There are so many talented artists out there that do not have an outlet to spread the music and share their talents.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Stranger things have happened!
Band History:
Bill Compeau and Allan Bourque met in July of 1985 in a local Christian band called UTM in Phoenix, Arizona. Bill now lives in Canada, but we have remained great friends over the years. Now that the Internet is here, we have been able to collaborate on music regardless of the distance between us.
Your influences?
Mr. Mister,The Call,The Stabilizers, Al Di Meola,Yes(with Trevor Rabin),The Police,Bruce Cockburn, Whiteheart. While we don't sound like any of those folks, they were a big part of us growing up musically.
Favorite spot?
Earth for now.
