Haegl is an electronic/industrial project. A wide range of influences and inspirations have allowed the Haegl sound to evolve and diversify.
Why this name?
Taken from a book on Nordic runes, no real significance other than I thought it sounded cool.
Do you play live?
There have been live performances of Haegl, most notably in the city of Norwich at various venues. Haegl has also collaborated with other artists for live performances. Generally though Haegl is a studio based project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
More accessibility to different genres and styles of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
guess so, no real interest though.
Band History:
Formed 2001 as a 'creative output' for the more electonic side of my (generally metal/rock based) musical tastes. I have experimented with a more 'live' band sound for Haegl but it keeps on coming back to the pooter!
Your influences?
Nine Inch Nails, Moby, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Alec Empire, Atari Teenage Riot, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, KMFDM, Mortiis, Pendulum, Trent Reznor, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, The White Stripes, Aphex Twin, Fatboy Slim, death metal, goth, noise, drum n bass, hard dance, soundscape, blah, blah, blah
