Brian Donald's third single "He's Alive" heard on Soundclick now!
______________________________________________
My main focus is to express my love and gratitude to the one who literally saved my life, Jesus Christ. I've always had a passion for music and being able to express myself while giving praises to God is an awesome thing! It just doesn't get any better. My style draws from many different musicians, singers and genres.
If you don't know Jesus, try Him. You'll be glad you did!

Why this name?
Brian = my first name
Donald = my middle name and my dad's first name

Do you play live?
I sing in the Macedonia Baptist Church Male Chorus and also with the group Men Up. I do plan to assemble a band in the near future. (If you are a Christian singer/musician with similiar influences in the Metro Detroit area who's interested in making some noise with me, contact me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is a definite plus for the music lover and the artist (if done legally) by cutting out the middle man (record companies). Not to bash record companies, though.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if I'm allowed to retain complete creative control and ownership of my masters, publishing and copyrights (I'm dreaming, I know). Let's start with a distribution deal.
Band History:
I grew up listening to my dad play Jazz piano, bass and drums. He inspired me to start fooling around with the piano and drums. I was also raised in the church so I am definitely influenced by Gospel music. My mother got me a keyboard when I was very young and when I was about 14 years old, my dad bought a drum machine and that's when the creating began. I made a bunch of basement tapes. Check out Power Surge Productions here on Soundclick for some of my old stuff.

My wife and I honeymooned in Chicago. We loved it. Also, Mackinac Island is Michigan's best kept secret and New York is cool too.
