Philon was born in Washington DC to a Nigerian mother and Jamaican father. Philon began to take an interest in hip hop as a child from listening to artists like a Tribe Called Quest, Nas, and Busta Rhymes. It was after hearing Nas' album, It Was Written that Philon started to rhyme . To make ends meet, He's worked with Brasco, Lil T, and Killa Skillz and a white rapper who would subsequently appear on 106 & Park named WhyteOut.
In 2003 he dropped the Ulordz mixtape, which spread word of his talent. He is managed by 16 Barz Entertainment created by GambitGrimes and Eric aka E L Money. In late 2004 he joined a group named 202. 202 started performing in the Washington DC, Delaware and Philly area. Right now Philon continues to work in the studio making mixtapes and preparing to promote his solo album "Make a Long Story Short"
