Agent is easier to pronounce when dj-ing or when rapping but some people have gotten me mixed up with Agent X (the garage dj) What does M-AN mean?? "Its a name I made up, it means one with self. Ever since I touched my dads technics hi-fi and getting licks when caught i`ve been into music. My cousins used to have a sound system a had blues parties in the basement. As a kid I used to listen to pop (cause i had no sence of taste) but the sounds of reggae played by my parents and 80`s soul by my sister (micheal jackson, loose ends etc) proved to have a lasting effect on my future productons. My first stab at making music came when I hooked up a basic atari xe with my brothers gittar and recorded it to tape. Then i raised funds buy an amiga at the last minute instead of an atari st and began making track using the legendary .mod program protracker and moved onto octamed. At this stage (17 years old) I was dj-ing at clubs and on radio (peoples fm+supreme ) and was able to play a few tracks of my own and host freestyle sessions. With people like LP (minority Rules) and DJ Mensa, D Soul, GeeQ making guest appearences on my Rapscallions show. I met Monkee when I saw the Dreamwarriors in leeds and have been friends ever since and Knew Oddball and Thomas Stewart (B.T.I) cause I used to give them demo trcks to listen to on a regular basis.
