BIO:

After hitting the studio in March 2010 to polish a new sound, Black Tea House knew the direction they were headed in.

Brian Chapman created the Melbourne band, Black Tea House to bring to life the contemporary pop, indie and alternative rock tracks that have been influenced by the sounds of Jet, Live, Radiohead and Crowded House.

Brian fronts the band with vocals and rhythm guitar and pencils all the tunes, a lead guitarist, keyboardist, bass player and drummer make the five piece line up.

Brian has shared the stage with the likes of The Living End, Screaming Jets, The Angels, Superjesus, Hoodoo Gurus, Taxiride, Joel Turner, Russell Morris, TMG, Billy Thorpe and Mental as Anything and many more. All influenced and all responsible for growing the musician.

The band is new to the scene. Although have been playing around the traps as individuals, 2010 is geared for exciting times ahead.

You will be hearing and seeing this band in a venue or festival near you soon.

Do you play live?
Yep and i really enjoy it a lot!! Right now playing around different places in Melbourne just where ever we can :)

The best moments for me is when its my turn to solo & it gets even better when you get the crowd involved in what your doing \m/
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Where would us musicians be able to enjoy and share each others ideas and techniques without the internet. It has changed the course of the music industry... :)))
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah why not if i got the chance !$ $! LOL
Your influences?
Well i started off listening to classic rock when i was a kid. Then i moved on to bands like MSG, Guns N Roses, Def Leppard. I started play guitar when i was about 13 years of age copying bands like MLTR, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd....A few years into the future i moved into players like Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Andy Timmons and other influential bands like Dream Theater etc etc...
Favorite spot?
That would be Hawaii although ive never been there, would love to someday for a holiday :)
