Bio
With a career in music well over a decade, from alternative bands to dj'ing various electronica. All these influences have created Adam's personal project Ekogen. In 2003 Adam moved into the digital enviroment of production using software and hardware elements to create the Ekogen project.
In early 2005 Ekogen started playing self produced tracks in a lively manner at small parties, clubs and by the end of 2005 was playing at the largest events locally supporting some of the worlds finest acts such as Shpongle, Fatali, Hallucinogen, Occulus, Mr Peculiar,Freq and many more...
Mid year 2005 Adam released his 1st independant album locally and launched it at a Winter Solstice Illumination themed party. The response was amazing and the crowd enjoy what they first officially heard.
Next major highlight was in November 2005, when Ekogen was placed between Shpongle and Hallucingen in a Fire Art Entertainment outdoor event. Playing first time ever new tracks off forthcoming 2nd album the crowd again responded with enjoyment. Some considered it the best gig i'd done.
Ekogen's 2nd album Dimensions of Reality due to be released in 2006 will be aimed for the international market.
The Sound
Ekogen's produced music is aimed at a medium level crowd with diverse elements of sound. Atmospheric soundscapes for mood swings, basslines for feet stompin and synthlines to get the hands movin. All this within 138-143 bpm. Very dynamic sound with every song having its own personality keeping the crowd alive in many ways within one journey.
On stage
The set up on stage for a lively performance can include Laptop, Access synth, and Dj' ing original tracks.
