We are BlackOut: A band from Long Island trying to make real music. We're pretty young, but don't unnderestimate us: We're quite talented musicians. We've been going since October of 2004 and currently working on our first albun: Life & Death.
Why this name?
It just came to us: We were sitting around thinking of a name and we said BlackOut. Another reason for this is the feeling of being let loose from reality, the real world fades away as you slip into a quiet dream. It's a feeling that we all get sometimes, wishing the world today would be more like the one in our dreams.
Do you play live?
We're in the middle of making a new album, so not really.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gets your name out there. Not only to people in your area, but across the world. These days everyone has a computer, so it's that simple.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yes.
