Why this name?
The bandname is kinda like life.... you know, some situation or somebody is always creating some kind of ULTIMATUM or worse...an ULTIMATOE! that you have to deal with, and/or, respond to, or otherwise do what we often refer to as, "The step and fetch" and we believe this situation is much like life in that, it could be wonderful, but it usually won't, which by definition makes it perverse!
Do you play live?
We play live off and on. We have, at times played every week and were bringing home enough to just barely almost survive on it but, we got sick of it because of the kind of mainstream pap that we had to stick with.... we did work in alot of our stuff but not enough to really satisfy us and we didn't feel like real artists, so we now play much much cooler stuff but gig alot less.
That said...We do LOVE TO PLAY LIVE! we are just a bit choosier than we used to be, so we do play the odd coffee house, restaurant, and bar and we are looking for an establishment that we really like and feel comfortable in... to call home with a regular weekly gig (maybe a Sat or Sun)...but it's gotta be the right place!
We love parties! House Concerts! Back Yard BBQs
So email us so we can get on the horn and discuss some real fun!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It provides a wider audience (a world wider audience that is) and the chance to be heard and to hear artists that are not represented by big corporate media.
The problem (for the listener) is how do you wade through all this and find what you want to hear and (for the artists) how do you get noticed in this sea of stuff...
I'm rambling now, but as I see it, the thing that makes this good is the thing that makes this bad, namely that anybody can place material here (if you don't believe this you haven't browsed much music here!)...and so we're kinda back to square one! on this very site you have everything from incoherant abrasive drivel to the sublime and so far, from what I've been able to see, it's like hunting for needles in a haystack.. The various rating sytems here are not much help... although using the various genres is at least a place to start.
There's no need for "book burning" ...just bury 'em in books and don't give 'em an index.
...keeps the lil' suckers busy!
So, good luck and bless you for being here and working so hard!...You must really be an independent soul with a deep love for music!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Most likely, even a minor label, an indie label would be great! We're musicians and music lovers and we love music!...We'd love any help we can get so we could have more time to concentrate on the Music first and foremost.
We're workers (we work hard!) ... and we're realistic.... I doubt that we're gonna be famous and become household names but we really think we deseve & could handle playing some better venues and we'd love some support on the promotional end of things.

Again more on this in a little while from both Val and me. I do have to say, I'm nuts about Ray Bonneville, Delbert McClinton, Jimmy Hall, Tom Waits, Robben Ford and many more
