Why this name?
Means to know. I know I like music. Genre's don't mean anything to me. Sometimes I wanna hear house. Sometimes I wanna hear D'n'B. I make what I want. I like that you like what I make.
Do you play live?
Yes. Raves, Clubs, Lounges, basically anywhere that appreciates a truly creative sound that doesn't bite from others. I love it. I get paid to present my art to masses of people.
Once I caught fire during a show because a candle lit my sleave on fire. I put it out but I had to deal with the pain of the burn for the last 3/4 of my set.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps and it hurt it and the same time.
Helps, by being such an accepted format and such a small file size for clear music to be distributed.
Hurts, when people don't actually buy the artist music after recieving a free sample.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. By signing with a major label, that just enhances my ability to reach more people and expand there scope of music.
Band History:
Gnosis has been producing for the past 3 years and mixing for the past 8 years.
In the summer of 2000, he was booked to head line a rave in Kohoku-ku, Japan, a city south of Tokyo. From there he gained bookings across Japan, China, Korea, Italy, India, Omsk, Komi, and Bryansk. In 2001, Gnosis earned a residency at Club Oxygen, in St. Louis, Missouri. There he proved to the owners that Drum and Bass and Hardcore make for an interesting event.
For the past year he has incorperated his production work in with his mixing, and now when he performs, he is deejaying and doing live production using Propellerheads' Reason software.
He is now a recording artist for Roshi's Island Records (roshisislandent@aol.com).
