Hey! In case you some how got here without knowing, this is the "band," Ongakujin. As for members, we've got...well...me. (I wish I was in a real band...) I am more of a composer than anything, though I play a couple instruments as well.

Most of my music that you will find here I made using Finale 2005 on my computer, and since it is computer generated, it is all instrumental. Either way, believe me, you do NOT want to hear me sing. I do any genre I feel like: Jazz, Rock, Classical, you name it.
Why this name?
Yeah, um, bandname. I've been taking Japanese lessons for a few years now, and I kind of like it. "ongaku" means music. "jin" means person. Music person. Yep, that's me. I considered "Ongakukan," meaning, "musician," but that would be pretty redundant, wouldn't it?
Do you play live?
I've played a couple of tiny little piano concerts and talent shows, but not as Ongakujin, but under my real name, which I do not care to disclose.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is good for the music industry. I mean, if it weren't for the internet, you wouldn't know about me now would you? Then again, maybe that would be a good thing...I don't know.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I could sign a record contract with a major label, pigs would have been flying for 27 years 3 months 16 days 4 hours 55 minutes and 23 seconds. If given the chance, however, I'd take it and hop around in circles for several minutes out of sheer happiness and disbelief.
Your influences?
Wow, musical influences... Far too many to name. I'm new at this site, so if I can, I'll put the influences with the individual songs.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere I can go. I'm from Pittsburgh, PA, and I like it here, but given the chance, I love to travel, though I don't get much of a chance very often. I've only been to a couple cities in the eastern states.
Equipment used:
I use a Baldwin upright piano, Yamaha PSR-260 keyboard, a couple busted up school French horns, a decent school King mellophone, and a Lyon accoustic guitar that I can barely play. As I said, most of my music is computer generated with Finale 2005.
Anything else...?
My music is computer generated, (for the third time) which means that no one actually plays it, but it also means that I have original sheet music available for absoulutely everything on here plus some. If you want to use it e-mail me at ongakujin@gmail.com. Don't hesitate! If you play my music, I will love you. If you play my music and record it so I can hear it, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER!
