Check it. My name's jP and I'm a musician from ATL.
Why this name?
My name's jp, my stuff is original. Two into one made jP originals.
Do you play live?
I've just been playing at some local churches while I'm finishing a degree. Starting to build the network.
I had a fun time, one of the first times I played drumset for an audience. I was playing on a backline kit, including thier pedal. Half way through the second song of the set the beater came completely out of the pedal. That's fun on a single pedal!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I'm sure it's made it alot easier to get your name out there. But at the same time it's made it more of a challenge, especially with the ease of the desktop studio. Everyone can put a studio in thier basement, but the equipment doesn't make the man.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would probably depend on the label. Deffiantely have to pay the bills though. I need a band first, lol.
Band History:
I've been a musician for 15 years. Started playing violin in 6th grade, then moved on to the acoustic guitar. I bought my first electric guitar at 12, then played 'blackbird' within a month. I was playing in a band that couldn't seem to hold on to a bass player so I stepped up there. I got my first drumset at 15 and something clicked. I'm starting to learn some stuff on keys, no theory yet though.
Your influences?
I like most music. I'm a fan of AK1200 and ATB for electronica. For Rock:Incubus, Dave matthews band, trapt, third eye blind, REM, Creed(yeah, I'll admit I was a big fan), Oasis, STP, Maroon 5, Sister Hazel, Bush, Pearl Jam, Lenny Kravitz, Vertical Horizon, 311, Sublime, Three doors down, PaPa roach, Audioslave, Rage against the machine, Googoo dolls, Counting Crows, Collective soul, POD. For classic Rock: Eric Clapton(cream),Boston, Rolling stones, Guns n roses, Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Doors. For Alternative: Green day, Foo Fighters, Red hot chilli peppers. Indie: John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Butch walker, Gavin Degraw, Eva Cassidy. Blues: B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn and double trouble. Coutry: Garth brooks, Travis Tritt, Randy Travis, Kieth Urban, Alan Jackson. And I can't leave out Jimmy Buffet James Taylor. I've basicly given up on the radio though, I get tired of hearing 20 minutes of talking and advertisements, so that I can listen to one half decent-somewhat overplayed song. Leading worship behind the drumset has raised the bar so high that NOTHING else can satisfy. That is the source of my passion. That's it.
Favorite spot?
I'm a huge fan of water. Lake Lanier.
