I'm a Guitarist/Songwriter/Reluctant singer who plays an odd mix of pop hard rock, blues, and some other stuff, while sometimes veering insanely into anti establishment satiracal metal, techno and/or country. I used to be in a local Boston band called Aesthetik that played all over New England in the mid to late 90's. I also have a degree from the Berklee College of Music in Music Production and Engineering. Learn even more about me at my website.... http://www.ErikZmusic.com
Why this name?
It's my given name.
Do you play live?
I used to, I would again, but I'm not right now.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I hate MP3's and refuse to buy an ipod. CD quality is already subpar and is nearly 30 years old at this point. Why would you want something that sounds even worse than a CD? Unfortunately it's a means to an end, so.. enjoy my MP3's.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long they cut out the cross collateralization clause, no long term multi album deals and I was aloud to co-producer while getting at least 3 producer points on top of the standard artist percentage. Then yeah, definitely.
