What's up this is Rollin' B.'s official sound click page. He is an artist based out of Chicago's Southside. Originally from Ford Heights, Illinois. Rollin' B. started rapping when he was a freshman in high school. He went from battling rappers from rival schools, to rapping at lunch tables at his own. With his unorthodox style he hopes to capture the hearts and ears of music lover's worldwide. Why this name?
My name came from my original name. My real name is Roland. And Tupac's name in the movie Juice was Rollin' Bishop so everybody in my school started calling me Rollin' Bishop. I didn't want to take the full name so I coined the name Rollin' B. an abbreviation of Rollin' Bishop.
Do you play live?
I've performed in numerous venues across the 50 states, highlighted by my performance during the Super Bowl weekend with Jay-Z at the Southern University of New Orleans(SUNO) when the Rams played the Patriots.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I don't think it neccessarily changes the music industry at all. I feel it may have helped it, but it doesn't have a big enough effect on the game to change it yet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I already am in the midst of signing with a major label. I have a couple of major labels bidding over me right now. 3 to be exact.
Your influences?
All my underground cats grind'n trying to make it in this industry,Twista, Psychodrama, Do-or-Die, Shawna, Da Brat, UGK, Crucial Conflict, 2Pac, Biggie, Run DMC, N.W.A., & Jay-Z. Pretty much anybody that had to grind to get where they are. Much love!!
Favorite spot?
Chicago of course. This is the greatest city in the world. Other than here. Virginia. I love Virginia Beach.
