SPOONMAN.

A very odd way of making songs, that is actually very heavily influenced by rock, alternative, and metal. This does not always show through though on the loop based electronic/experimental songs. Why looped based? Because for now it is very easy to work with, as time goes on more and more instruments will be added, and not many people work with loops as a base so it makes the music sound a little different.
Why this name?
After Artis the spoonman and the soundgarden song "Spoonman".
Do you play live?
We do not perform live. At least not right now. The equipment to play a live show is not currently in our possesion meaning this is basically a studio type project for now.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The music industry will never be the same now that the internet has become such a big part of the music industry. It wasn't that long ago that iTunes sold its billionth song, and this medium should keep growing as people become less and less willing to go to a record store to buy a cd. Actually this is sad because often the case was that many bands had better stuff that was not played on the radio and only on cds, but if people only buy the songs that they hear then eventually that material will become pointless to make.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, a record contract with a major label would be an honor to have. As would any record contract at this point.
Band History:
Well there were these two guys and they were trying to start a rock band. At the very first jam session the bass guitar for one of the guys broke. In their now free time (because the repairs were going to take awhile and eventually lead to just replacement of the equipment) spoonman was formed.
Your influences?
rock would definitely be a huge influence ranging from bands like aerosmith to alice in chains and 311 to maroon 5 and trapt to pink floyd.

The Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, Decoding Jesus are all huge influences in our music and some of our favorite music to listen to for pleasure/inspiration.
Favorite spot?
Smyrna Georgia is the best place to be, so that would get the favorite city vote.
