Serikulus
NEWS   We are working with Nick Stelton on our debut CD. We will have GOOD demos posted within the next couple of weeks. I took down the old demos because compared to the new ones, they suck.

Why this name?
That is a secret. Shh!
Do you play live?
We will. We are getting our CD recorded and then we will play live. We are finding that we are tweaking the heck out of the songs during the recording process to take most of the suck out of them. Once the CD is complete, early spring, we will look to play Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota gigs a couple times a month.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It keeps good rock alive. Even with the recent rebirth, it has taken a back seat to many other forms of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely.
Band History:
Sericulus started as an inspiration to play some good old fashioned rock 'n roll. Kyle (original singer, now just a friend) and Chris work together and would often chat about bands they liked and songs that they thought kicked some serious ass. There was both a lot of common ground and a lot of divergent opinions (Kyle likes grunge and Chris hates it). Moving on, we decided to try to put together a group so we could create a CD for the sake of posterity. Enter Craig. Craig and Chris have played together before so Chris asked Craig to lend a hand to the project. Craig has many good ideas and he can whack the drums really well, so we were glad to have him aboard. We met Rich on Craig's List. He brings a lot to the table as well because he is passionate about his old school rock 'n roll. He is perhaps the only person I have met that knows who many of the bands I listen too are. Rich also introduced us to his brother Doug who can sing like a real rocker and I like the fire that he brings to the group.
Your influences?
There are many and everyone in the band has their own. Besides the Who, Craig likes REM, U2 and Motorhead. Chris likes anything John Corabi has contributed too, Buckcherry, all things guitar oriented (Paul Gilbert, Blues Saraceno, Michael Lee Firkins, etc.), Saliva, Y&T, Black Stone Cherry and most 80s rock bands; locally, he thinks Skywynd is the shit. Rich likes Badlands and all sorts of cool guitar rock. Doug likes Megadeth, Extreme and Dream Theatre.
Favorite spot?
Minneapolis
Equipment used:
Chris - Mostly Carvin and Gibson guitars through Marshall (TSL 100) and Lonestar amplifiers.
Rich plays a Thunderbird through a working man bass amp. Craig plays either Slingerland or Pearl drums, depending on the situation.
Anything else...?
