I'm not a band so much as a guy who sits at home, has way too much free time currently, and sometimes thinks he's funny.
Why this name?
It was and is my real name so it just seemed logical.
Do you play live?
I have started doing live shows at New York Comedy Club on 23rd Street. I can't sing, but I do anyway. I have the most fun when the audience gets really into it and starts joining me on the refrains.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it helps unknown bands get known, and then when they get known, they have the money to get annoyed and complain that file-sharing is hurting them financially... It is wrong that bands lose money due to file-sharing. It is also wrong that established musical artists make more money than doctors.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
What color label?
Band History:
I spent over two years annoying the other authors at www.amiright.com with my written works, and now I'm trying my hand at recording some of the better ones. I started writing in late 2003.
Your influences?
In terms of the work you'll see here, my influences are guys like Weird Al and Allen Sherman.
Favorite spot?
New York City, minus it's entire public transportation system.
Equipment used:
I have a home-recording rig and mic for my PC currently that probably costs less than a high-end set of headphones. Budget production until I get some sponsorship.
Anything else...?
If you like my stuff, let me know. If you don't like it, let me know that too, but do your best to be specific. While it might be true, I can't do too much with feedback like, "You SUCK!1"
