What da bidness is? This is Pompey representing South Carolina. I'm an upcoming independent producer and artist. Why this name?
It's me. My real name....no one else can be me, so why not just call myself who I really am.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet has changed the music industry to the point where those such as myself, who live in a secluded area, where hip hop is not a MAIN focus of the area, can get exposure and get more opportunities to make it to the point they want to make it to.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As a producer, depending on the type of contract, I would sign with a major label. As an artist, I would try to stay independent because you can get a better deal that way...maybe even have a little bit more control over what you're doing creatively...but if i was offered a deal by a major at this point, definitely i would take it...
