The Jeff Coffey Band
NEWS   The second single "Write About Me" released by Jeff Coffey from his self-titled debut CD (Smoketree Records), has been steadily climbing the charts. New Music Weekly has the song listed on it's Adult Contemporary Top 40 Charts at 28 this week, up from 31 last week, and it's Top 100 trax (compilation of research from Top 40, AC 40, and country reporting charts) at #86. New Music Weekly covers the radio and music industry and has become the standard for tracking radio airplay nationwide.

In addition to the favorable radio response,“Write About Me” can also be heard on the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen PlayStation 2 video game “Sweet 16 Licensed To Drive”. It is following the success of their first single for radio, "Say I", which was in rotation on over 60 Top 40 stations across the US, including the Virgin Islands.

Coffey’s music is a blend of Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock radio friendly hooks which feature his distinctively powerful voice through soaring melodies and solid songwriting. "The album is a refreshing blend of intelligent rock and pop that mixes sounds as diverse as Candlebox (“Say I”) and the Rembrandts (“Carousel” & “Write About Me”), with a modern flair. " - Todd Seely, The-Fuze E-zine.

The band has been selected to participate in the Atlantis Music Conference 2004 held in Atlanta, Georgia July 21st through the 24th. The band will be playing at Smith's Olde Bar (1578 Piedmont Ave. Atlanta) on July 24th at 11 PM. In addition, their song, "Say I" has also been selected for the Atlantis Compilation CD.

Band History:
Former RCA recording artist Jeff Coffey has a new solo venture that features his distinctively powerful voice, through soaring melodies and solid songwriting. The rich sounds of his music will undoubtedly find themselves right at home on the pop and rock airwaves. "I don't want to sound like everybody else, and I certainly don't want every song I play to be more of the same thing. For me, the more curves there are on the road …........……the more fun it is to drive."

Jeff has made a life of music, touring and performing with such artists as Blessid Union of Souls, Hootie and the Blowfish & Vertical Horizon, just to name a few. His recording credits include working with such great producers as Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac, Whitesnake), John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle of Mudd), Justin Niebank (John Mellencamp), and Stan Lynch (Don Henley). He has also been featured on many radio shows, such as "Acoustic Café" out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, "Artist Features" on WMMO 98.9 as well as "The Scott and Erica Morning Show" on MIX 105.1 in Orlando. Most recently, Jeff's music has been spun on the Local Blend Music Show in Detroit, Native Noise on WJRR 101.1 and on Real Radio 104.1 in Orlando.

Having recently completed tracks for a new CD at Transcontinental Studios in Orlando with successful producer Joe Smith (Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore), many of the songs have already found their way to other formats.
"Pop Goes the World" is prominently featured in the new independent movie Stealing God. Also, "Write About Me" is featured in the new Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen video game Sweet 16 Licensed to Drive. In the spring of 2003, Jeff launched a major radio campaign with Protocol Entertainment. "Say I" has been well received by Program Directors nationally and is now on regular rotation on over 40 stations across the country with new adds every week.

With the new CD out and many audience packed shows at feature venues in Orlando (Hard Rock Live, House of Blues) Jeff Coffey has established himself as a prominent force in the local music scene. The undeniable heart-and-soul of this new up-and-coming artist is evermore present in his voice and he has set out to introduce himself and his music to the industry.

Jeff has always felt that he was in for something different, something extraordinary. Once he found music ........... there was no turning back.
“I knew that I would never be happy doing anything else. Honestly, I plan to be making music until I physically can’t anymore.”

Jeff Coffey … An artist not to be missed!
