Non-Exclusive beat info
I have no limits on the amount of sales you can achieve using a non-exclusive beat - you can use it for whatever you like, commercially and non-commercially as long as you credit Statuz as original producer.

Exclusivebeat info
Exclusive beats are beats that only YOU will have the full track to. The most anyone else will be able to hear is the online, tagged clip on the SoundClick player. Again, you can use these beats for whatever project you like.

Why this name?
Life is all about your social and financial status, and the ultimate aim is to be happy and have a high status.

The name Status was already taken by a Drum n Bass producer based in the UK so I changed it to a z at the end to avoid conflict over the names.

I did intend to change names altogether, but Statuz kinda stuck.
Do you play live?
Not right now, but I'm learning instruments and plan to do live performances in the future.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It lets people in. It's opened so many doors and completely changed the industry, because basically, anyone can do music theirselves.

The independent movement is so strong now thanks to internet promo, networking and showcase sites.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would consider signing as an in-house producer for a label with good artists, a good understanding of the music and a good reputation.

I still like creative freedom though, so even if the right deal came along I'm not sure what I'd do - the only way to find out is to be in that situation/
Band History:
I started DJing when I was still in school at the local community centre, and it kinda took off from there.

We got into the DJing thing, and I was listening to SideWinder tapes and hearign all the dub exclusives and specials DJs had and I wanted to make special, remixes and intros.

From there, I got FruityLoops 3 and it all went crazy from then on, I got deeper and deeper into the beatmaking, and I'm still here.

Flirted with being signed to SnakeBite Recordings in the grime scene a couple of years back, but that all fell through - it's a learning curve still, and it was nice to get some appreciation for my beats during that time.

Since then I've spent years learning new skills and enchancing my abilities to the point where I now have a LARGE stock of beats ready to go.

And here I am right now, starting to push the beats out and get noticed, maybe even make some money.
Your influences?
Producers: KanYe West, Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Timbaland, Scott Storch, Jazze Pha, Dr Dre, The Runners, DJ Khaled, Jermaine Dupri, Ryan Leslie

Artists: Anyone from the Motown Era, Eminem, Dr Dre, KanYe West, Little Brother, Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne, Ghetto, Kano, Lethal B, Wrtech 32, Scorcher, a whole bunch more grime MCs - far too many to mention

I like a varied sound, I can go from chilling, sunny style beach beats, to making the grimiest, hardest beats - it just depends how I feel at the time.

Unlike a lot of producers, I don't feel I have one particular sound or style - I keep it as versatile as I possibly can.
Favorite spot?
Right now, I don't really have one - home is where my heart is, but I don't have a place I can really go to and settle down and call my favourite place just yet.
