John Wilkes Booth, a "Dirt Rock" band from Long Island, New York. When Long Island is mentioned Billy Joel, emo, tribute bands or bad metal comes to mind, John Wilkes Booth is the antithesis to all these things. JWB is the melting pot for separate personalities to come together to make one kick ass stew of dirty rock power. In the short time that JWB has been together they have managed to build a loyal following and land gigs at some of the areas bigger venues such as Northsix in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Hoping to bring their sound out of the local area and to the people of this great country. Keep your eyes and ears on John Wilkes Booth their power in infecting.

Band History:
The history of the band is the following, Christian (drums) and Jay (guitar) formally played together in Madder, which eventually fell apart. Jay went on to join Under Red Sky who had a short stint of gigs and recording. When left without a band, Jay reunited with Christian who brought his brother-in-law Harry (bass) into the fold. The three went on to place an add on craigslist , had a bunch of crap vocalist come down and picked the worst one. Now stepped in Merkle former vocalist of Big Baby Satan, Fiftfyour, Redshift and various other local bands to complete the line-up. Together they all draw influences from all over the musical spectrum. The final result is raw and visceral dirt rock. Played with brutal intensity and direct honesty..
