We some emcees that been rhymin' since anout 1998 but have just recently been able to Rec.Since about 2002 is when we really started taking our music seriously. Our crew hails from Anchorage, Alaska...We tryin' to revolutionize Hip-Hop in our town. You either feel us or you don't... other than that peace to the true hip-hop heads accross the globe. The scene in AK is gettin' bigger... but not fast enough. But there are mad true emcees around the way like AK MC's,Artic Flow,Project 1,Highly Unlikely and many others who support the local Hip-Hop scene!Big ups to Jewlz&Heather, also to Bizzare Antics and Konk1!!!!
Why this name?
infinite energy!
Do you play live?
Freestylin' anywhere really. But someday it might come to rockin' a whole stage.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well this how I see it... music can easily be obtained... so if there's really respect for the artists... people would actually cop their record.... instead of rippin' it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if they let us do everything our way,Hip-Hop is a form of self-exspression.So when someone else starts telling you what to say cuz it sells than it ain't Hip-hop anymore. It's almost like losing your freedom of speech!
Band History:
I've (Mike C.)known Tha Condukta ever since I was able to talk. We started rhymin' in junior high. Then the Condukta met Fureal at the Alaska Military Youth Academy in 2001 where they discovered they had Hip-Hop in common. Fureal had also been rhymin' since about 98.Fureal then Met C-Smooth around 2002 wich completed the crew, thats the story in a nutshell!
Your influences?
From Masta Ace to MC Juice to ToneDeff, to Eminem. Basically just straight raw underground Hip-Hop.... The Mainstream Pop never influenced us to rhyme... it was just the strong force and movement of the culture.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere with the Fuzion, but the SeaLab is where it's at.
Equipment used:
Fruity Loops for the beats, Cool Edit Pro for recording purposes, 50$ mic with a pop filter and a computer plug-in adapter. Nothin' expensive... no professional equipment... even tho it says "pro" on Cool Edit.
Anything else...?
One love to all the real Hip-Hop heads in AK and the rest of the world... 4 elements 4 ever! P.S. you didn't think i'd forget the B-boys or Graph writers did you lol....Much love and word out to the level headed emcee's and DJ's peace!
