description
The Paul Jeffery Band performing 'Even', summer 2009.
UK-based male singer-songwriter. Piano and guitar-driven songs in the Rock/Acoustic/A.C. genre.
Why this name?
Paul Jeffery is my real name and my band is called The Paul Jeffery Band. Please spell my surname correctly in order to find me on the internet!
Do you play live?
Hell yes. Regularly at least 2-3 times a week. Mainly local. I do solo singer-songwriter/acoustic/showcase/open-mic gigs; solo gigs including covers; and band gigs involving originals and covers.

I like it, even though it can be hard work at times. It's still the most effective way to present and promote my songs.

Favourite gig of all-time is still April 7th 1995.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well it's revolutionised the industry and changed it forever without a doubt. Personally it's enabled me to promote and communicate directly with fans, and sell directly to anyone in the world. It's enabled me to introduce fans to my music I would otherwise not have met.

It has also saved me from heartache, pressure and legal fees involved in attempting to land a recording contract.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In an ideal world yes. But I would prioritise building my own fanbase and in effect becoming my own label. I'd rather concentrate on what I can do myself rather than chasing the elusive big deal.
