For those who don't know where they are, you have stumbled upon (or have been directed here whatever the case is) the site for GenX Records. All songs available on this page are by MatchGhost unless otherwise noted. Although MatchGhost is the main artist signed to GenX Records, many other artists are associated with GenX Records. A couple of these artists are Dee Mantis and lil' Dunn. The current album is tentatively named "The Alpha Series". The main purpose of this album is to allow people, including MatchGhost to view the progress of MatchGhost's skills. Track 1 is the first Track that MatchGhost ever recorded, just as Track 2 is the second. The order of the songs on the album are sequenced with the order that the songs were recorded. This way you can play the album the whole way through and then see the developements that were made. No chenges will be made to songs after they are recorded, so that you can truly see the developement.
Why this name?
Well, my full name is Match Playin' Ghost. MPG is both the initials of my actual name and my pseudonym.
Do you play live?
Nope...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows small independent record labels like GenX to distribute thier music all over the world. The music of small local area record companies, previous to the internet, could not be heard by people outside the limited sphere of the record companies area.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definately...
Band History:
Basicly we are a fairly new record company with artists relatively new to the game, so there isn't much history to be told.
Your influences?
MatchGhost: 2pac, Eminem, Notorious B.I.G., Bone Thugs n' Harmony, Nas
Anything else...?
I didn't know what people would consider Parental Advisory, so I just made every song Parental Advisory since what might not offend me might offend someone else.
