Musician/Songwriter - I write and record as a creative outlet and use multi-track recording techniques to bring ideas to life. The results of these efforts can be heard here.
Do you play live?
I've performed live with various cover bands over the years, but I'm currently not actively persuing live engagements.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet has already revolutionised the industry - and it's only just begun. The world is full of talented artists that can be heard from anywhere - with the click of a button!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not certain... it would depend on the terms. I think the internet has leveled the playing field (so-to-speak) and the major labels are no longer holding all the cards. I'm always open to discussion, but I doubt that we would agree on terms.
Band History:
I started playing around with the guitar when I was a small child... in the sixties (as did everyone else in the sixties). I played in a R & R band in the seventies and started playing around with multi-tracking on reel-to-reel recorders in the eighties. I bought a digital multi-tracker in the nineties and here I am today. Over the years I've focused on various styles, Rock, Pop, Blues, Classical, etc. Now my music incorporates bits of everything I've picked up along the way.
Your influences?
I cut my teeth on the Beatles and rocked with The Who. I got into Progressive Rock with Yes and Genesis. My main blues influences include Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Favorite spot?
Where I'm at right now.
