play lo-fi play hi-fi  Craving
Most people know me as an unassuming folksinger and guitar teacher. Late at night another me appears. Seeking endlessly for the perfect loop. Tweaking every oscillator and filter and EG just a bit more. Oh my God!! What is that bean I've plugged my guitar into???
Why this name?
Because it took me two weeks just to get my recording software to the point where I could actually record a track with it.
Do you play live?
I do my folk stuff live. The instrumental life is mostly for my own curiosity.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a different kind of middleman, innit? Hopefully more of us musicians will be able to reach more listeners and it would be a very cool thing to generate a bit more income from making music. The internet ans mp3's have made this more possible than ever.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if I could be guaranteed it wouldn't bankrupt me (in otherwords, no).
Band History:
I've been making music a very long time. There's not much in the way of music that I don't like. Rhythm guitar is the coolest instrument ever conceived. That being said, my past doesn't matter much. Only the few minutes of time that you are hearing my song matters. Thanks for listening.
Your influences?
John Prine, John Hiatt, John Lennon, Johnny Rotten, Johnny Cash, Johnny Smith, Robert Johnson, Johnny Winter, John Cage...
Favorite spot?
A spot near Etna, CA called Mu.
Equipment used:
A lot of it. Project 5, Sonar, FLStudio, PodXT, Taylor 310MCE 25th Anniversary acoustic guitar, Schecter double humbucker managers special from GC, Dimension Pro, BFD, God's loop library, more to come.
Anything else...?
