What's up? What's Up? What's UP? I'll tell you what. My faith level. My name is Udon Cheek and I perform under the name "Capital-U". I'm a Christian Rap artist and I love sharing the love of Jesus Christ through the vehicle of beats and rhymes. My style is diverse and my lyrical content is genuine. I don't fabricate tales or compete with my musical gift. I merely share testimony, praises to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I celebrate the joy of being born again. I hope you enjoy every projected breath of these entries as I truly sought the Lord's face to compose them. This is the gifting that I use to compel the lost to accept the free gift of salvation through confessions of belief in the shedding of God's only begotten son's blood for the atonement of our sins. I almost lost my life using this gift for the wrong reasons. God so graciously gave me the keys to it once more upon pledging my allegiance to the cause of building His Kingdom through praise, obedience, prayer and labor. What a minor task to do that which I love to do and in turn inherit eternity. What an awesome God. Enjoy.
Why this name?
I chose the name "Capital-U" because my Kingdom building assignment is to stir faith up in the hearts of the masses. I do so by encouraging listeners to capitalize on who they are for the Kingdom of God. IN OTHER WORDS it's "CAPITAL YOU". Until we realize that we are not clones as Christians but as different as God is infinite we can't fully understand the power of unifying to the greatest call of surrendering all for God's glory.
Do you play live?
I primarily perform at churches and family oriented functions. My goal is always to give the unsaved an opportunity to receive Christ and to see the joy of living for Him by being who you are and not by mimicing others.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe it gives artists the opportunity to reach the outermost parts of the world. If it were not for the internet I'd be trapped within the box of sharing my faith in my neighborhood. I'm glad to be able to potentially touch the entire world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That is my confession and that's what will eventually occur. I know my songwriting is anointed and I know that the world needs to here music like this. I pray every day that God will open the right door for my music to be shared on a wide scale to remedy the fabricated over-exaggerated music that plagues the air waves now.
Your influences?
My musical influences don't come into play as far as my performance is concerned. My style is moreso animated on recorded tracks than they are on stage because when I perform live it is to celebrate God with the congregation or body of listeners. My assignment is to stir up faith and bring to the awareness of the lost that they need a Savior and His name is Jesus. Performing isn't on the forefront of my mind. I just share what God has given me in the fashion that He has given it to me.
Favorite spot?
I don't know yet because I haven't travelled as much as I know I will.

I Truly Love God and I know that He truly loves me. I was lost and trapped within a downward spiral facilitated by selfisms. My selfish nature stole from me and almost killed me. Now I live a life that is free from the cares of the world. I live eternally through my faith in Christ Jesus. He will never fail me and I will never fail to tell the world that He is my everything.
