Emcee Evolution aka Fatbody born May 17th, 1981.
Been listening to Hiphop since like 1988. My first tape was Public Enemy It will take a nation of millions to hold us back. (classic album) I started writing rhymes in 1998 cause I wanted to make music i wanted to hear cause most of the music at the time was bullshit. Peace to everyone that has helped me along the way, Grizz, Qbala, Ey D, Grieves, Does, Deuce 33, Skep, Skinny, Zach Davis and anyone else I forgot.
Why this name?
I used to go by change but I go by Evolution now cause I think my style and craft evolves everyday!
Do you play live?
Yes. Anywhere and everywhere. Yes very much so. The show I did last Halloween when I got to drunk and forgot a verse on stage so I just bullshited with the crowd and told jokes.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it lets people that would not normally get to hear my music hear it and it also f***s things up by free downloading before you get to sell your work but all in all it's good in the end.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would if I got the same freedoms I do with being indipendant.
Your influences?
KRS ONE, Wu Tang, 2pac, Biggie, Bootcamp click, Rakim, Cool G Rap, Public Enemy, Outkast, Juice Crew, Masta Ace, Big Daddy Kane, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest to name a few.
Favorite spot?
Ft. Collins Or Denver.
Equipment used:
Acid 4.0
