This is not a "band", just an artist.
This is my solo project, with the help of a good friend at the controls.
I do have a band called "Glorious Obsession".

Why this name?
The "AcousticCowboy" Is a name that came about as a result of me starting to write and perform country music. Which is something I just started doing about a year ago, after winning first place at a local country fair competition, doing some country tunes.
Do you play live?
On the solo project as "AcousticCowboy", I do play at country fairs, and other outdoor events.
I prefer the environment vs. smokey bar rooms.
One of my favorite events was a bikers rally, for "Toys for Tots" with other musician friends.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives opportunities never before available to the small time singer/songwriters and other artist out there. Its awesome!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think so. I like my freedom too much as an artist. I'm content to write songs for those who are on major labels.
Band History:
The short version is, I have played with several...no "big timers" though. Most bands are more drama than I want in my life at this stage of the game.
Your influences?

From my youth (Rock)Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Rush, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, foreigner, Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Boston, Journey and Eagles....I'll stop there.

Favorite spot?
I like livin' in Dallas because thats where I grew up. But I would move to Colorado if it was a fit for me, it is soooo beautiful.
Equipment used:
Most of my acoustic performances are done on an Ibanez or Taylor. I still have my first guitar from when I was 12 yrs old, an old Yamaha...With a new set of strings, plays as good as ever and never goes out of tune. I also play a beautiful Red wine colored Schecter-Diamond Series, with Hot Duncan Pick ups. I love it.
Anything else...?
If you live in the Dallas area, let me know.
I would love to meet you and here your music.
