johann pachebel's most famous and influential composition to this day. it a string quintet and completely takes your mind into a peaceful and reflectful state.
This first movement of Cape Breton is very joyous. and features the woodwinds throughout with canons and great melodies. however, it also has great full band climaxes.
This is the 2nd, more majestic, calming mvmt. to Cape Breton. with its flowing melodies, it captures the calmness of the shores during a morning mist.
This mvmt is completely opposite of the previous two. The thunderous brass hits and lightning quick woodwind runs make this a very effective concert closer.
this is a very awesome saxophone solo. this song was performed by david lovrien at the dws soncert. david garza plans to play this solo his senior year as well. mr. lovrien tol me that this was a Del Staigers compostion for trumpet originally
this is probably on of the hardest euphonium solos there is. matt plans to play this solo for his senior year, and for college try-outs. the performer adds graces and trills throughout the solo.
I'm sure you can tell by the title what the purpose of this song is. It will be played by the REL Symphonic Band at the 06 Spring Concert. Its a very fun piece to play and listen to.
