ABOUT THE ARTIST
FRANCO MADRID
a.k.a. DemoLee

I was born on the 17th of August, year 1982. I took up kindergarten, elementary, and high school in Naga city. I went to to Los BaƱos to study Agricultural Economics. I love arts and music. I like to write instrumental songs, watch dvds, sleep all day, eat fish and catsup. Everyday I dream about myself working in an advertising firm, attending creative staff meetings and other stuffs... ummm and yup i love peanut butter, and chocolate chip cookies.
Do you play live?
I haven't tried playing live but I got plans. As of this time I'm into Bedroom music production.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has made Music reach the end users faster.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the terms and condition. I guess it ain't that bad though.
Band History:
Demolee was supposed to be a part of a music tandem called Child of Krypton (with Troll Del Castillo). Our tandem was formed early May of the year 2004. It was during that time when we realized that we wanted to do something new apart from our everyday routine (computer games, soundtrip, computer games, studies and etc.). We were performers before, in a band, doing covers, but now we have found a new way of pursuing our passion for music, thanks to computers. However due to the vast amount of ideas that comes from both parties (me-demolee and Psycotroll, now known as Bleedingboy Soundtrack), we are still in our own state of experimentation where I make my own music and he does his. But nevertheless, Demolee will always be a part of that music tandem Child of Krypton with Bleedingboy Soundtrack. Looking forward to some serious collaborations with Bleedingboy Soundtrack in the future.
Your influences?
Been through a lot... as of now, im into Jazz and Chill Out, feel good kind of songs, and yup i like drum n bass too. I love the sounds of Chicane, Groove Armada, Lux, Fourplay, Lee Ritenour, Nathan East, Mike Francis, and a lot more. I love Cafe del Mar compilations and Hed Kandi's as well. (I have a lot more to discuss regarding my musical influences, but this will do for now)
Equipment used:
I started from ACID pro using a bunch of VST's, then for some time I switched to Ableton live as DAW host for VST's and REWIRE. For the most part I use REASON software by Propellerheads. For postproduction matters, I use Soundforge equipped with WAVES plugins. I'm looking forward to use FL studio to add more color to my songs and hopefully a productive collaboration with some singers to do vocals for my future projects.
Anything else...?
I'm looking forward to use FL studio to add more color to my songs and hopefully a productive collaboration with some singers to do vocals for my future projects.
