Our band name is taken from a passage in the Bible found in 1 Peter 2:9 where it says : But you are a CHOSEN people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people to be his very own and to proclaim the wonderful deeds of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

CHOZEN is based in Maryville TN which is located between Knoxville TN and the Great Smokey Mountains. It is a great place to live and is close enough to Nashville to offer lots of opportunities to play music.

It has allowed independents the opportunity to be heard by a larger audience than has ever before been possible.

Possibly, if the "right" compromise could be reached.

CHOZEN is a Christian rock band from Maryville TN. Founded in 1998, the band called upon its classic rock roots and soon began writing its own brand of Christian rock and roll. Hints of "classic rock" with an alternative, progressive rock edge is the best way to describe the music. Don't be fooled by the word "Christian", this band rocks with the best of them. According to the Knoxville News Sentinal reader's poll, CHOZEN is one of the top three rock and roll bands of the year. This band is on the bleeding edge of Christian Rock. Called out, set apart, determined, focused, moving ever forward towards the mission that has been set before them - this is CHOZEN - the name for Christian Rock with the message of Christ that transcends the ages.

Andy plays a Sadowsky bass through an Ampeg SVT classic amp and uses an AKG D112 to mic his 6 X 10 cabinet. He also uses an MXR boost pedal when extra volume is needed.
Dan uses Shure Wireless mics through the band's custom built sound system using JBL, DBX, Lexicon, Mackie, and QSC components.
Michael plays a Gibson SG Special, a Gibson Flying "V", and a PRS Tremonti SE through a VooDoo Amp modded Marshall JCM800 head. His pedal setup consists of a Boss HM-2, an H2O Digital Delay/Chorus, Ernie Ball Volume pedal, and a Boss PW1 Wah. A Shure SM57 is used to mic the JCM800 4 X 12 cabinet.
Len plays a Jackson "Randy Rhoads" and a Charvel "2A", through a Mesa Boogie Rect-o-verb amp. A Shure SM57 is used to mic the Mesa 4 X 12 cabinet.
Brian plays Pearl drums with Zildjian cymbals.
