GreyLife

This is the music that nobody likes. I'm not trying to impress anyone, sound like anyone or fit into the genre. This is not meant to be danceable, hardcore, or 'rivet-as-f***', although I'll occassionally touch those areas. It's not meant to make you want to curb-stomp old ladies or sweat your nights away at a dance club. I hate cymbals and hi-hats. This is my music. This is my release. If you find some catharsis in this like I do, then you are appreciated and welcome. If you don't like it, you can go f*** yourself. Enjoy the music. If you don't, leave.
Why this name?
There is nothing special about my life. Mine or any other. GreyLife comes from the concept that there is no black or white, no true happy or sad, other than what we create through the drama in our lives. This lives out those dramas as a means of expression, release and acceptance. My life is neither exciting, nor dull. No ones' is. Just accept it, humbly.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Have you heard my music yet? If you have, then it works. If people know about your music and you live like celebrities, why would you care if some kid downloads your music for free. If you don't, just be happy that people like your music enough to steal it. Maybe word of mouth will get someone to legitimately purchase your album.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on creative freedom. We all wish we could get paid for what makes us happy. For most of us, it's just a hobby.
