Why this name?
It's My Birth name. Can't get any realer than that! Plus It is unique. I am not the only one with the name but it is alot more distiguishable and defining. Plus it means"The Creator"
Do you play live?
Actually Yes. Mostly in the Midwest. Chicago and Nap-Town. I love every aspect of the music business including producing, engineering, writing, performing and live shows to say the least. One memorable moment is when Our mic gave out at one of our shows and we connected the actual headphones to the mic line and finished the show. One of our artist used headphones to flow in. We got an even better response from the audience!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that it allows you to be in multiple places at one time, virtually. It gives you access to the world which can work wonders for your promotion and marketing. It has the ability to make local labels and bands nation-wide or even world-wide without the major labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
YES!!! If the math and the letters make sense, if you know what I mean. Those "stick it to the little guy" contracts give me allergic reactions!
Your influences?
Any and every type of good music from any era and/or genre. I am one of the most versatile musicians. I think every aspect of music has a distinctive quality or sound to offer. If you are considered a musician, it is very important to stay open to all music. And you can still have your own niche and area/s of expertise.
Favorite spot?
Chi-Town!!!
Equipment used:
Tritons, Rolands and Yamahas mainly on the keyboard end. Samplitude, Sonar and Pro Tools for mixing, tracking and editing. Fruity Loops, Reason, Uerodesk 3282A, Mackie 24 track analog console, any MPC and basically anything I can possibly get my hands on.
Anything else...?
For all inspiring musicians, artists, producers, etc........
