Why this name?

Crys is Chris...my actual name...and Coinz is a nickname my friend gave me cause I used to carry a lot of pocketchange everywhere

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It's amazing how hip-hop now can evolve out of it's region and become universal....it also allows us access to music that is usually much harder to find and enjoy.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

yes as long I could have full creative choice...

Band History:

born in Texas/Mexico...lived in New York, South Carolina, Jersey, and now in a boardin school in North Carolina...I come from a military family, so I've moved a lot and have taken in lots of different styles of music. I have placed beats for multiple different projects including UUordsmith's debut album The South End LP, HHN: The Mixtape, We Did This Last Night EP and multiple Malakai songs

Your influences?

my musical influences come from everything...alt.rock, all of hip-hop, old school stuff, some really old stuff in some cases, and just music in general....names like Talib and Common have been the greatest influence

Favorite spot?

Asheville is such a welcoming area

I use Pro-Tools Le, Reason 3.0, Samples, a mixer, and a mic.......saving up for some more
