4 years ago we used to play in an old removal warehouse. Our gear was a crap Squier tele guitar, a 10w amp, a camera tripod on top of a box as a mic stand, a broken headphone plugged into a mic socket as a microphone and we just did covers and went for it. I think that is wots important. Use wot you have to make music. Like me, my band is over so I hit the acoustic straight away and absolutly love it. Im still writing and gigging. Ive got some pretty decent equipment now and I dont have to give band members lifts and split the cash. All in all, im very comfortable playing and doing my own thing and feel I have more freedom as I dont have to arrange anything with anybody as far as music is concerned. Rather than practice once every 2 weeks whenever we had free time, I can practice every night. I wont be ripping out a guitar solo but you can get as much quality in some tidy chord progressions and a nice voice as you can with harmonics and fast shredding.
