What up to all the people who are down with the real music. Soul music. The music that speaks truth without compromise. The harmonies and melodies of life that I live for. My music comes from MY LIFE. I'm not from the hood, so my lyrics aren't street (though my beats tend to knock). All I can sing is what I've been through, heard of, or witnessed.
Why this name?
It's my real name.
Do you play live?
I love playing live. It's a whole different experience of creating music. I love the feedback I get from the audience. It's a great feeling when people relate to your music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is definately a big help to those artist who may not have the resources or a network to share their music by other means.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Mos definately. As i said, a career in music is my dream that I plan to make a reality. Why not get paid for something I love to do?
Band History:
I've done alot of performing within the last two years. Mostly talent competitions and expos with a few big gigs here and there (B5 concert,Apollo, Scream Tour).
Your influences?
That's a tough question, only because I'm so easily influenced when it comes to music. But, I'd have to say my biggest ones would be artist from the 60's and 70's like the Motown Crew, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Aretha....I could go on for hours.
