A Fine Wine

A Fine Wine formed on a Sunday night when Cliff (our lead singer) came to me (our everything else) with a song (Internet Girlfriend) he wanted to record to impress -- you guessed it -- his internet girlfriend. We may or may not ever record another song, but it was a lot of fun and I'm very proud of what we've created. Proud enough to publish it here!
Why this name?
It came time to label our CD single.
"What's the name of our band?" I asked. "The Cliff [his last name] Project? Cliff and Brian?"
"Hmm.. [My last name] and [His last name]?" he suggested. "Heh. That sounds like a wine."
"A fine wine..." said I.
"A Fine Wine?"
"Oh, I was just saying yeah it sounds like a fine wine.. But A Fine Wine would probably make a good band name!"
And so it came to be.

Do you play live?
We'd have to hire people to play live. So no.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think MP3 is a great asset to the music industry at large. It's the recording companies that are frightened. It's time for them to realize that the direct-to-consumer market works (and, truly, must exist) in the music world as well as the software world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
What? A huge pile of money? Nah, not interested. What, are you kidding? Of COURSE!
Band History:
That's sort of already in our introduction, isn't it..
Your influences?
Hmmm.. Axl Rose is probably the big vocal influence for this first song. Our musical style so far is sort of pop-punk, but I couldn't name any particular influences there. Future songs may or may not sound anything similar.
