April 28, 1989, a star was born. Adrian "Solo G" Murdock was born and raised on the streets of East Atlanta. Not havin both parents in his life caused him to do alot of dumb shit. Since the age of 11, Solo was addicted to making music. He grew up on Tupac & Biggie, none of the other music really got his attention. When he first started the music was ok but as he progressed the music got better & better. Although he was in and out of trouble and had to serve some jail time that did not stop the young hustler. Even though he was ah known Jackboi to the streets, everybody said his lyrics where well thought out and would someday make him a rich man. He is not only a Rap artist, he is also a producer, song writer, and composer. Though he has many underground fans, he has not yet become famous. Solo was a very confused teen. Even though he knew right from wrong, he made choices that could land him a place he did not want to be. At age 18 Solo G was arrested for the first time. While in jail, he had time to really clear his mind and decide what he really wanted to do with his life. He got his talent from his Grandmother Mary who passed away when he was only 9 years old. Back in 2003 he was introduced to Eastside Mafia. They made music, but also made very stupid decisions he looks back on now and regrets. Not to long after he was kicked out of his mother's home. He turned to the streets from that point on. He did things he felt he had to do to live such as selling drugs and robbing the rich. In due time he realized that music was for him. Over the years he got better and better at whatever he put his mind to. Being on the streets struggling to get by caused him not to graduate. Til this day he wishes he could have done better. Although he had alot to deal with in his life that didnt stop him from making music because it was in his blood. He worked with artist such as Big Rube from Dungeon Family, The Get-Away-Boyz, Travis Porter and many more in his childhood, but Big Rube helped him get his sh*** together. He learned alot of different things that helped him with his career from alot of different people, but Big Rube was his biggest influence. He showed him the ropes, gave him alot of knowledge and made Solo into the A-1 producer he is today. Years later Solo got on the right track. Focusing on his music and nothing else. He is destine to be one of the greatest of all time and will not stop until he reaches the top.
Why this name?
I chose my band name, "Solo/Dolo" because it was very unique and original to me before i had heard anybody else say it. Solo- is the man with alot of sh#% to say, i guess you can call him the artist/rapper. Dolo-is the man behind the music, constantly producing/writing/composing beats of many kinds with a very open mind. Possesing many different intruments skills such as the bass guitar, grand piano, along with the trumpet. If your confused SOLO/Dolo is only one person.
Do you play live?
Soon real soon..
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives the people who cant make it to this show and that show or this club and that club to pass out cd's or something in order to get important people to hear your work. Everybody has internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the paperwork is legit, i know about the music industry first hand and how it can be a dirty game.
Your influences?
