Why this name?
This is just a user name I started using during the Internet's infancy. It's kind of stuck with me and I used it here instead of my own name for some strange reason.
Do you play live?
I have in the past. From Bars to Colleges to public and private parties, but those days are long gone...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Computers along with the Internet pretty much destroyed the music industry as we knew it. Nobody pays for music any more except to see Pop/Rock Icons live. There is still money to be paid, but really only in live situations.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Are there still record labels??
Band History:
I'm the band.
Being primarily a bass player since '74, I found one can't write very much music via that instrument so I picked up a Synthesizer after my father's death to express myself musically. Digital recording brought everything full circle and I now have gotten back into playing guitar.
Your influences?
The Beatles primarily. They're the whole reason I had to have a guitar way back in '64. Since then, Paul McCartney's solo work has been a big influence in my musical life. ELO also comes to mind, as well as Yes, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Queen, Alan Parson's Project, and Harry Nilsson. I should also add that all the 45 RPM records from the late 50's - early 60's Top 40 that my sister left at home when she went to college were very influential in my early musical life.
