Unused Plans is Paul Harmon and Kent Hall. Between us, we play guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, hand percussion and various wind instruments. We've been playing freely improvised music since the mid-1970's; after briefly imitating 60's free jazz, we arrived at our own approach in the Spring of 1976. We've been extending and refining it ever since.
Why this name?
"Unused Plans" was the name of one of the first tunes we collaborated on. Somewhere along the line, we realized that it was also the name of our band.
Do you play live?
Very rarely. We live too far away from each other at present.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
