Conceived in June of 2001, HEADS FOR SALE is the solo project of underground artist Jim Hamilton. This music can be best described as industrial gothic metal falling somewhere between NIN, Ministry, & Danzig with a fresh eerie sound of its own. All of the music & lyrics were written,recorded, performed, & produced by Jim Hamilton in his rural home studio in southern Ohio using digital technology & a dash of madness. Why this name?
The term HEADS FOR SALE is derived from life in modern society where most people are slaves to industry & their minds are not their own they are in fact for sale. Our time is accounted for & our thoughts are shaped by government & media propaganda, this music is intended as a release from these restrictions...to reclaim your heads!
Do you play live?
Yes..I play solo live sets in southern/central Ohio. Every show is special when the people listen to what I've created for them.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes if it weren't a deal with the devil himself. I would also find it satisfying to create my own independent label & sign myself & other bands.
Your influences?
Multi layered gothic orchestration, industrial overtones, chunky guitar riffs, soaring keyboards, melodic dark vocals, well balanced production
