My name is Airiel Dromeda, I'm an aspiring producer. Unfortunately, my work seems to be a little "out there", but if you don't come with something new why do it. Change is the natural evolution of life. I am Evolution manifest.
Why this name?
I use to be part of a group called Brothers From Another Planet...taken from the movie of the same name. To avoid copyright issues we changed to The Brothers.
Do you play live?
I don't play live, most of my work is at a computer. However, I would love to have a good MC spit over my tracks.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes new artist like me get to more people with out the help of a big label. We have access to the world through the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course!!!
Band History:
I started at age 14 rapping (counscious rap). After gangster rap took over the seen and made conscious rap seem weak, I started producing other artists. Due to the lack of funds and the price of quality equipment, I had to give it up for a while. I re-emerged in the digital age and have been reborn as Airiel Drom (A-1). A play on my Brothers From Another Planet name "Ariel".
Your influences?
My old producer Benoit and the Bomb Squad.
Equipment used:
Sonar 4, Motif, Battery 2, loads of Soft Synths like the Moog V.
Anything else...?
I just want some savy producers to mold my style.
