Why this name?
"Seed" was given at birth...and "Popular" came after paying dues I guess
Do you play live?
Find me in DC, NY, or Japan....find me solo...find me with The Amphibians....I'm out there
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet gives us starving artists an opportunity to test our material among peers. It also allows industry cats to seek out new talent without making calls or leaving the office.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. Despite the politics, majors can still provide an opportunity to share my music with a large international audience ..which is my ultimate goal.
Your influences?
My background left me stuck at the crossroads of party rap (Whodini) and lyrical geniuses (Rakim). My current influences include Nas, Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, and Gangstarr.
Favorite spot?
Tokyo, Japan...but then again, what can beat New York City?
Equipment used:
Ensoniq, Roland, pots, pans, spoons, whatever it takes
Anything else...?
I wanna thank everyone who listened to my tracks and voted -- "City Life" reached its peak at #1 on 6/7/03 and remained on top for a while! Also thanks to all the cats givin' me feedback, it'll help for my next project --"Out of Many" f/Young Raven Productions. Thanks to all those who joined my mailing list. And last of all, thanks to all those who copped my album.
My CD is still for sale. You can cop it online at at Mumbles Hip Hop Shop.
