I have lived in Davenport, IA my whole life and have been writing for about 2 years. I usually perform live, hardly letting a soul hear my recordings. This is where I will reveal them to...everyone.
Do you play live?
I usually play live at Mojo's Coffehouse in downtown Davenport, IA. I only play during open mic nights. I also do open mic at a coffeehouse called CoffeDive in downtown Davenport, IA.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, take a look at the Arctic Monkeys. They put their music online...now look at them.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes...I don't really have an arguement for not signing one except the fact that I might be too nervous to do so.
Band History:
I've been writing my own songs for almost two years(I started at age 13). I'm self taught on guitar(about 2 years) and piano(1 year and 6 months) and have only ever had proper lessons for one instrument-flute. I started playing that in 5th grade(I'm a freshman in highschool now).
Your influences?
First, Amy Lee of Evanescence. I absolutely love the vocals and piano that she writes. I also liked to listen to my dad play guitar when I was younger.
Favorite spot?
Davenport,Iowa
Equipment used:
Well, I have a Roland electric piano(please don't confuse this w/ a keyboard); Fender and Crate electric guitars and a Martin acoustic guitar.
